Dinosaur Leaves
Ginkgos grow quickly
and soon vomit rotten milk
all over the fallsidewalks, carpeted
with wrinkly berries of flesh
popping under foot.Their prickly branches
an alien skeleton
with primitive leavesthat Billy and I,
when we were eight, collected
in grocery bags.

Poems:Glimpsing Minnesota - A blog I wrote chronicling the summer of 2007, when I used a grant from the state of Minnesota to travel to undisturbed natural areas to make etchings. See my etchings in the Landscapes department.
Northwest to Alaska - A blog chronicling the journey of the Stoltz family (me, my wife, and two cats in a U-Haul) from Minneapolis to Juneau, with photographs. I wrote it all in one entry, so that you can easily read it chronologically.
